Conditions The Fremantle Hospital Medical Research Foundation through the Warren Jones Awards invites expressions of interest from Fremantle Hospital-based researchers for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to visit Fremantle Hospital, with the intention of assisting skills transfer to researchers within the hospital. The minimum period for the residency is 5 days, and can commence anytime in 2010. The Award will comprise a return business class airfare, accommodation, living allowance and/or other fair and reasonable expenses. Applicants are encouraged to obtain co-funding from other bodies wherever possible. Your Head of Department must approve of the residency. As the nominator, you are responsible for ensuring the availability and willingness of the individual to take up the Fellowship, in addition to providing a proposed program outlining the individual's schedule for the duration of their visit. A more detailed program will be required from you at least two weeks prior to the start of the visit. You will agree to take personal responsibility for the individual, acting as their host/guide for the duration of the Fellowship. A condition of the Award is for the nominator to provide the FHMRF with a synopsis of not more than two pages in lay terms of the Fellow's visit once he/she has completed the residency. The successful nomination will be determined by the Fremantle Hospital Medical Research Foundation Board of Trustees, for the final approval of the Chief Executive, Fremantle Hospital (or delegate). Weight will be given to an application where the nominated Fellow is suitable to act as the Warren Jones Orator (there is no set date for the annual Oration).
