Businesses and Community Groups
Businesses and community groups that support the Fremantle Hospital Medical Research Foundation care about the local community and invest in its future.
As the southern corridor's only tertiary hospital, a significant proportion of the community have an affinity with Fremantle Hospital which has treated them or members of their family. Many in the community have also benefited from the groundbreaking research that has been carried out at Fremantle Hospital, as the research has a direct correlation to the illnesses and diseases which are prevalent in the local population.
There are a number of ways for your business or community group to show its support:
An organisation may choose to sponsor a Research Award, a Warren Jones Award or a Barry Marshall Travel Award. As well as supporting much needed medical research, the sponsorship brings with it a range of benefits including naming rights, laboratory tours, access to guest speakers and invitations to Foundation events.
If you employ over 100 staff, introducing FreoDoctorLottery to your workplace is a fantastic way to improve staff morale and support the Foundation.
You can donate the proceeds of a fundraising event, for example a free dress day, quiz night, ball, footy tipping, sausage sizzle, golf day etc.
You and your staff to make regular payroll deductions (all donations $2 and over are tax deductible).
Support one of the Foundation's events such as the golf day – check the calendar of events on this site for what's coming up.
The Foundation can also work with you to conduct effective brand promotions and other cause-related marketing partnerships. Please contact Sonia Girbiel on 08 9450 1510 or gurbspon@primusonline.com.au

Bequests
A bequest is a gift that you nominate in your Will.
Although you can draft your own Will, we recommend professional assistance from your own solicitor or one of the Trustee companies to ensure that your instructions are carried out exactly as you wish.
Should you decide to leave a gift to the Foundation, you may choose to use the following wording:
"I Give and Bequeath to the Fremantle Hospital Medical Research Foundation of Alma Street, Fremantle, Western Australia, ABN 86 173 067 365 in aid of that Institution and for its general purposes, free of all duties, the sum of $__________ and/or Life Insurance Policy No. ___________________ and/or the property situated at _____________________ and/or my Residuary Estate for which the receipt of the Chairman or other authorised Officer shall be sufficient discharge"
It is of course entirely up to you whether you choose to disclose any details to us about your bequest, however it will help us to plan for the future. Naturally this advice would simply be a statement of your present intentions and is not in any way binding. If you would like to personally discuss your bequest, please contact the Foundation on 08 9431 2106 or email .
